I thought it may be good
To start unpacking
All the parts
So,
I unpacked the good parts
The hated parts
The hidden parts
The forgotten parts
I looked at all these pieces
And still
Found more parts
Parts I prefer wrapped up for good
Parts of me hidden on shelves
I thought one day
I’ll deal with that part
But there it was still sitting
Untouched
Never dealt with
So I sat bewildered
Who knew, I have so many parts
Some unfixable parts
I realised there is no way
That these parts can be
Discarded
Even the ones I have guarded
And hid from
All of it
Woven into one life story
Gathering all parts
Looking at them
Pondering
Wondering
Thoughts of fixing
Seemed a futile thought
Because time cannot be reversed, replayed or regained
Because some parts will just remain
Forever not fixed
Scars remain scars
Missed opportunities
Remain missed
These parts make you
They can never be replaced
All these pieces
Make a whole
So you continue to move on
Praying
That you gather new parts
To make you into
A wonderful tapestry
Of stories and journeys
Of failures and growth
Of success and happiness
Of sadness and joy
All of it
Makes
You
Ecclesiastes 3 v 1
Accepting all the pieces, and recognizing the value of every part of one’s story. It reminds us that life’s seasons and events, even those that seem unfixable, have their purpose in shaping us and becoming a living testimony. Your story is important.
