Immeasurably

You coming at me

Just know I see

You!

I’m tough

Not a fool

When you do

What you do

Don’t think I don’t know

Behind my smile

I know ya

Operating with guile

I ain’t worried

Cause I know

Where ta go

When the tears flo

I’m strong

I’m favoured

I’m delivered

I’m a queen

He made me

The head

Not the tail

A priest

So I’m about to preach

Teach

So you can know

You can’t touch me

You can’t crush me

I’m free

I know where ‘m going

So go on

You’re miserable

I can see

So here is my offering

To end your suffering

He said take up your cross

Count it all as loss

He will give you joy immeasurably

No more misery

Joy immeasurably

Immeasurably!

Why?

Why you saying things

That you should not be saying

Why you walking

Where you shouldn’t be walking

Why you looking

At what you shouldn’t be looking at

Why you doing

What you shouldn’t be doing

Child of God…Why you running away?

When you should run to Him

Why you so afraid

When He stands with outstretched arms, waiting

Oh wayward child!

Ruled by your own rules

Come and make right

While there is still time and hope

And He will set your path straight

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,

But a wise man is he who listens to counsel.”

He Gave His Life (Christian poetry)

He gave His life for you

He thought you worthy enough to die for

He suffered and died for you

He rose and bought you

He advocated for you

He is seated at the right hand of the Father

He defends you

His blood covers you

He died for your soul

So you can be made whole

He deserves your best

Let Him lead you to eternal rest

You will not find peace in anything until you let Him in

For He stands at the door and knocks

Look at the clock, it won’t stop

So Stop the worry and the doubt

You cannot try and reason this

It just is so, He loves you so

You cannot try and understand Him In your head

The one who was and is to come, the Alpha and Omega

The one who placed more than a billion stars in the skies

Open your spiritual eyes

Who are you to question Jehovah Elohim?

You have to trust and believe

In your heart

Let your heart sing a hymn

And you will never be apart from His love

Because He gave His life

To end your internal strife

A teachers duty

So last week Tuesday I stopped a child who always shows confidence and always has a smile on her face, and i felt to say, “Wow, you are so beautiful and getting taller and more beautiful every day.” I’m not blowing my own trumpet because I do encourage a lot, every day actually but it’s what happened afterwards that was encouraging, so I have to share. The next day school closed early and so I took my son to the doctor. The secretary looks at my school badge and asks, “Oh wow, are you Mrs Wichmann, my daughter always talks about you, she loves you. In the bath this morning, she said that you told her she is beautiful and getting more beautiful every day.” I was taken aback and said, ‘Wow, that’s awesome, my pleasure.” This shows that those words I spoke stayed with the child until the next day, that speaks volumes. Don’t underestimate the power you have to bring change with your words.

Sometimes we are prompted to say something to encourage, affirm and bless someone even if it’s a child. Sometimes we feel foolish doing it and sometimes the person may even act like they didn’t need to hear your silly words. But let me encourage you today, you never know what is truly hiding behind those children’s smiles and false confidence. Sometimes the child and sometimes even the adults you are in contact with daily are suffering in silence. Sometimes the child with the most attitude has the most hurt and just wants love, attention and a little kindness. You may feel foolish for a second and so what, you may have changed someone’s life in that instant, especially children. So never doubt that small voice or prompt in your heart to say what needs to be said. There is death and life in the power of the tongue. Speak life.

Freedom to be you

It’s so important in your life journey to take some time to get to know yourself. Sometimes we lock away the colour and realize it too late. In fact some bury themselves so deep that it gets harder to find yourself. Don’t do it. Embrace all of who you are. Find out who you are and you might be surprised that there was actually no need to strive. Just right there in the midst of all you thought was important, the things you’ve been chasing suddenly have no more meaning…right there is your freedom. Just grab it. For I have learnt that timing is everything. Even when others may feel they have won over you stand firm and stand firm again and again. For it’s a good thing to come to place of knowing you. The freedom to embrace all that God has in store without the struggle to chase anything is the most freeing feeling I have ever had. The saddest place to find yourself is in a lost place where you cannot recognize who you are because you were chasing the wrong dream. Stop, think, listen…you have one life, live it.

Hi fellow friends and bloggers – God inspired poem – resurfaced after 7 years.

I need to explain the next piece I’m posting. I sometimes write from visions and the story behind this poem is as follows:

I had a vision of a man hitting a woman in a car while we were driving from church about 7 years ago. It was as clear as day, he hit her while driving and she turned into a piece of unwanted paper. The door flew open and she was thrown out like a piece of paper and landed on a pile of leaves. The paper was noticed by a gardener that was clearing his front yard. He looked at it and picked it up because he was planning to burn up the dead leaves. He took the paper smoothed it out and began to tell her story. She was saved and He placed her inside a frame, this symbolized His protection over her now. She was placed on the wall for all to see what He had done for her.

Two years later I still had not shared this poem with anyone. Then my mom invited me to one of her ladies meetings and I felt strongly to share this poem, so I asked if I could. It turned out that the guest speaker was going to share her story of physical abuse and the theme of the meeting was an outreach to broken woman. While I read the poem, I saw tears running down the faces of some of the woman.

The poem has been asleep for about 5 years now but today I feel the need to surface it again. Perhaps it will be applicable to someone and touch someone’s heart. You are not alone. Reach out! Before it’s too late!

Car swaying

Tyres screeching

Voice screaming

Shouting

Stop

Don’t

One hand on the wheel

The other a weapon

Pounding

On her

Blow after blow

Vicious breaking words biting to the core

Pushing her towards the door

Malicious vindictive raw words

Spitting from his mouth like a viper

She could not take another word from this hater

She shrivelled up like a scrunched up wasted piece of paper

He pushed her and shoved her out of the moving car

Like an unwanted piece of paper

Thrown out of a window

There was a gardener raking up dead leaves

And was about to set the pile of leaves alight

Noticed the torn, scrunched up paper

He picked it up and read the words
I am nothing, I am no one, I am broken

I am bruised, I am hurting, and I am lonely…

He spoke over the words,

He smoothed out the wrinkles

He placed a frame around her…

He set her up on a wall

For all to see and hear

She said…I am worth it, I am someone, I am whole

I am healed, I am joyful, and I am not alone…

I am rescued
